"Love the LORD, all you godly ones! For the LORD protects those who are loyal to him, but he harshly punishes the arrogant. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD."

Psalm 31:23-24 (NLT)

Hopelessness can be devastating. Recent research reports that hopelessness has an even greater negative effect on the heart than depression. Those who have lost hope are three times more likely to develop high blood pressure than those who have a more positive outlook on life. Those who are without hope can give up, stop trying, or even become ill. Proverbs: 17:22

God knows how important hope is for all of us. Hope sustains us during times of uncertainty. It gives us assurance that our problems can be solved, our needs can be met, and our dreams can be fulfilled. The Lord wants us to believe His promises, place our hope in Him, and never give up. The Bible says hope is one of three things (along with love and faith) that will "abide" (1 Corinthians 13:13).
No matter what you're going through, do not give up, you may have financial needs, marriage challenges, you may need guidance and direction or have unsaved loved ones who are struggling to find God, refuse to be discouraged or disappointed.
Your Heavenly Father wants you to place your hope in Him. David said the Lord "preserves the faithful." He said we should "be of good courage," for God will strengthen our hearts.
Remember that you serve the God of hope, let courage and strength rise up within you, if you've committed your life to Him, you can know that His promises are true. 'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.' Romans 15:13

My hope is in the Lord, I am not discouraged or depressed. I will experience the goodness of the Lord in every area of my life, for hope indeed maketh not ashamed. Halleluyah!

Tuesday, 24 June 2014

Hello beautiful people...Today's gist is a rather interesting one and trust me, it’s gonna be a major eye-opener for all of sit back (probably with a cup of tea...*grin*) and enjoy your read.
So I'm about to share a personal experience ...(one that really rocked me). I've been a mugu before so it’s okay if you feel or you’ve felt the same way at one time (everybody should have his/her story)...One major reason for this post is because a friend of mine is being a mugu for a guy at the moment and I don't know how to tell her but I know she secretly reads my blog and I hope she sees this...(I know she will)
Story story (you must start your post with the correct response oo *smiles*). I was dating this guy or so I thought...because I was practically the only one in the relationship...I’ll walk you through the story... One thing that tripped me about this guy was his sense of style and humour and back then, I didn't mind if a guy was fine or ugly, as long as he could dress well or make me laugh, that's all that was needed. I was already obsessed sef ** I was always like this around him

You know we ladies na, when we like a guy like this, we go just off brain **. I mean, I was already picturing our wedding and how many children we would have and the names of the kids sef. You wanna try????? But now, I hate him. Not the kind of hate that says “you still love someone but because he isn’t yours, you hate him”... No not that kind. Its the kind that if someone tells you he got hit by a car, you'd be glad...ehen! That kind. Lemme give you the full gist.
He was a friend of the family however I started really noticing him at my cousin's wedding but as a sharp babe na ,I didn't let him notice though I think he did. He later got my number from my sister and that was how the texting, calling and pinging started. I would go to his house, fix him breakfast, lunch, dinner and even overnight food sef. Mehn I turned proper maga on this issue called 'man'. We went on several dates and after a while I started seeing myself as the girlfriend and not a friend that is a girl. Even his friends were already calling me Iyawo or Iyawo ore wa...(chai!..may car jam all the friends that deceived us when they knew there was nothing for us..LOL).Whenever I was at his place, I was the wife oo, we would eat (after I cook), play, watch T.V., joke, laugh and sometimes gist until we fall asleep. All these just further deepened my ‘mugu-lity’
So one day, I read something online about 'defining your status in a relationship' so I decided to ask him before it was too late. This was how the conversation went
Me: Babe (I was already calling him a sweet name), where's this leading to? Shey na marriage so I will tell my mum to start expecting their in-laws.
GUY: Sweetheart (takes pause + deep I wish it was asthma  ...*rolls eyes*), I really like you...I like you a whole lot but I don't think I'm ready for anything serious now.

He had the guts to call me ‘sweetheart’ before shattering my heart. It took an intervention from where I don’t even know for me to pick up the fragments of my shattered heart. How I left his house, I can't remember. I can't even remember my exact reply but I know there was an expression like this

then something I did with my middle finger and then tears. I felt used. I felt lost.  It took me a month to finally get me back from the world of the broken hearted.
He called me back some months later and was apologising then the mumu girl in me fell for him again. But this time around, I was planning on playing smart. I bought the book 'think like a man and act like a lady' and tried all the tricks in the book sef....**omo dem no work o**.The story was the same.
3 months down the line, another cousin of mine was getting married and he was to attend so I made a dress I was so sure was going to get him down on both knees begging for my hand in marriage. I mean I'm a beautiful girl na...(yelz ke, and selxzy too..LOL).
Come that day, he finally arrived and guess what? He came with a babe.... Choi! I wan die. He saw me, waved at me and that was all I saw of him. He had his eyes all over this babe like she was going to run away. I was just praying the ground would open and swallow me and keep me there forever. I later got over him but it wasn't without a lesson. I realized I was the one lying to myself. I saw the handwriting on the wall but ignored it. He always introduced me as his friend but in my mind, I was hearing 'my special friend' which is also known as 'girl friend' (which is probably another lie sef...girlfriend is girlfriend..Any other thing isn’t).
If someone really wants to be with you, they will do everything to be with you. I'm sure a lot of people can relate with my experience. I've heard the flimsiest excuses from people who have been in the 'assumed relationship'. Let me give you example
*Its not you, its me..(infact na slap suppose follow dis kain talk)
*I'm very busy with work. My boss keeps me at work till late..(ehen, after late nko?)
*I'm scared of commitment
*I just came out from a bad relationship and I don't think I can ever love again..(may you never be loved again too)
* I'm trying to know who I am so I can't be in a relationship yet..(Olodo ...check google na)
* you are too good for me..(and you’re too stupid for you too)..LOL..
I know you guys must have heard more dumb escape lines..please put yours in the comment section below. I'll love to see it...let's laugh it out.
Brethren, as long as he/she keeps making excuses to stop being with you, then the person doesn't deserve you at all. Stop LYING TO YOURSELF. When you keep lying to yourself, you deprive yourself of what you truly deserve. Once you notice somethings you know are significant signs that he/she is not serious, remove your slippers, pack it, put it under your armpit or on top of your head and run like Usain Bolt is chasing you with a cutlass..LoL
I believe this post would help someone come to their senses...not just my friend...but some others out there who are trapped in their own lies...

Enjoy yourselves and keep smiling....GO! Mobylizers...LOL

Sunday, 15 June 2014

Hello lovies mo. How are you? I hope your Sunday wasn't as blehhhh (my way of saying dull) as mine. Have you ever felt so alone even with so many people being around? Like no one would understand. That's how I feel. Don't let me bore you with my emotions.
To today's tori.... I'm very happy to share this makeover with you but first let me gist you how my Saturday went. The youths in my church organized a breakfast meeting for the church. Lots of us don't know that I'm the vice president of the youths in my church (Haleluyahhhh somebody....I might just be the next Daddy Adeboye...who knows). Everyone 'decided' they had plans and then they put the whole responsibility on me forgetting I'm also human that could 'decide' to have plans and just recovering from malaria so I had to do the whole running around and all. I should consider event planning sef because all the event I've planned always turn out well. The drugs I was given at the hospital usually makes me weak and slow but I just put my body into God's hand and did the little I could. Come Saturday, everything was set and the turn out was good. So from church,I had to go get my friend ready for her wedding introduction. Let me gist you about this my friend. She is a very crazy fellow (crazy not mad o LOL) and a mini-tom boy. You see this geh ehn, she's one of the few friends I have and she brings out the crazy side of me. I'm so happy she's getting married. She didn't even let her hubby propose to her. The very nice handsome-looking dude took my friend to South-Africa to propose (so romantic of him you'll say). On the proposal day na, he took her out to dinner and then he brought out the ring and was about saying plenty story and then place the ring on her finger (that's how its done shey?). She just collected the ring, placed it on her hand herself and told him not to waste his time saying plenty story. For everytime she tells me this story, I always laugh so hard until tears come out of my eyes. So on our way I was already getting tired but boo kept rubbing my back (*doing my puppy eyes*). Got there a little late so we had to rush her makeup. She kept reminding me she didn't want heavy makeup  and NO BLUSH so I had to work with less heavy products. I'm kinda feeling down today so I won't be putting up products used but I promise to do so on her wedding makeover post (please work with me here......sad face). Enjoy the pictures.
You see she's not okay.....cute like that *mmwwaaahhh*
No more crazy pictures of my friend after this one

And that's all my loves.  I'll make sure I invite everyone to the wedding proper.
I just remembered tomorrow is Monday. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Okay I'm going to bed now to sleep. I'll see everyone in dream land. Have a wonderful week ahead everyone. Moby loves you like ...........

"I go east, but he is not there, I go west, but I cannot find him. I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden, I look to the south, but he is concealed. "But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold."
-Job 23:8-10 (NLT)

It has been said that there is no glory without story, the true value of gold is not seen until it passes through the fire, Job experienced loss and suffering, yet he recognized he was being "tested." He sensed that as a result of these experiences, he would "come forth as gold." His friends were so busy criticizing and analysing him that they missed this perspective. As he reacted to his problems, Job focused on God and yearned for an understanding of what the Lord was teaching him. In the end, everything became clearer. Job was restored and blessed even more than he had been before these trials. Whenever you go through difficult trials, commit your situation to God and look to Him. Ask for discernment. Ask Him to show you what He's doing in your life. Despite your circumstances, remain faithful to Him. Allow Him to purge you of sinful habits, impure thoughts, and anything that displeases Him. Allow Him to show you if He's stretching you, deepening your faith, or teaching you new truths. Seek to persevere during times of trial and testing, having faith in God.
Remember that He loves you and that through the experiences of life, He will bring you greater blessings and make you come forth like gold!
2 Corinthians 4:17 says "For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever.
So hold on, and don’t give up. This too will pass and you will be better off.

I will not give up or give in until my victory is manifested. My best days are not behind me, they are ahead of me. Halleluyah!

In the midst of the jokes, the laughs and the drama, I still think about the Chibok girls and their relatives and what they would be going through right now. Its okay if you find out a family member or friend is dead and you bury them peacefully. What is difficult is not having knowledge of the where about of your friend, your colleague or a family member. You can’t really say if they are alive or dead. That's pretty hard to fathom. I got this message from an anonymous person today and I think it is worth sharing. Please let’s take a moment or two to say a word of prayer for the Chibok girls, their family and Nigeria as a whole.

"Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long. For surely there is a latter end , and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off."
-Proverbs 23:17-18(AMP)

Hello lovies…Today is looking like it would remain wet...The rain seemed like it would pour forever and I'm hoping it rains today.. I love rainy days though....everywhere always seems calm, friendly, cosy and beautiful. Everything about a rainy day seems just perfect apart from the fact that some places would be muddy and greasy.

Hello Lovies. All I want to do today is sleep, eat and sleep so this is going to be a quick one. I got this message today from a friend and I thought I should share with my lovely blog friends. Read and be inspired.
John worked at a meat distribution factory. One day, when he finished with his work schedule, he went into the meat cold room (Freezer) to inspect something but in a moment of bad luck, the door closed and he was locked inside with no help in sight.

Today I’ve got a very interesting and somewhat disturbing topic to gist about…something many ladies can relate to…something some have dared, some would never and others are still gathering the liver to attempt. Note that this is not a rant. Its just me expressing myself.

Sunday, 1 June 2014

Hello guys. Please don't ask where I've been. I think I caught the lazy-blogging fever for a minute. Or maybe two days sha. I think this is the point where I get to apologize. I'm soweeee *puppy eyes*. Okay that already out of the way, let's get down to today's business. I got this rant some days ago but I just taya to post am. This Rant-ee is a very angry rant-ee and he's pouring his mind out here. If you have any advice for him, you can leave it in the comment section. Thanks guys *mwwaahhh*

"The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation)”.
-Proverbs 4:7 (AMP)

Our text makes us to understand, that wisdom is the principal thing, it should be the first in order of importance in all that we strive to acquire. Joseph exhibited a great level of this wisdom, he refused to attract pity to himself or wallow in self-pity, he totally ignored the invitation to a pity party, he knew he had a great destiny and refused to major on his challenges. Genesis 41:14, "Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. But Joseph shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh's presence. "Notice what the bible said Joseph first did, 'He shaved himself..., and made himself presentable. Often times, Christians are overtly spiritual to think things like this are not important, he was presented with an opportunity and decided to make the best of it by applying divine wisdom, he could have gone into Pharaoh's presence dirty and looking dejected in self-pity, and most likely Pharaoh might have not listened to him or even if he did, he wouldn't have made him the ruler over all. Some people would rather appear in such a way that people will pity them, they tend to wallow in pity and always talk about how bad things are for them, how they have been suffering, and you know that if you get into their company they will bore you with the same story of how things have worked against them. This attitude will make you stagnant in life. If Joseph had wallowed in self pity, he would have remained in the prison all his life, he rather prepared himself and got ready for the vision God gave him by applying wisdom in practical terms. Your circumstance is not being underrated, but everyone has different challenges at one point in time in their lives, but what keeps some moving and other stagnant is the ability to get up, grow up and move on. Our appearance is important, but applying wisdom goes well beyond dressing. It is knowing what to do with every opportunity presented to us.

I open up my heart to receive divine wisdom from above to know what to do with every opportunity that God brings my way. Halleluyah!

This word for today was gotten from Dexter and Jola Akin-Alamu. Thanks for reading and have a fabulous week ahead filled with love, peace, happiness, divine favor and plenty of my drama *winks*
