“Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.”
(Ecclesiastes 5:18, NKJV)

The scripture talks about how God has given us the power to enjoy what is allotted to us. That simply means another person doesn’t have the power to enjoy your life. You may have more success, more money, more friends and a better job, but if you put another person in your life, they are not going to enjoy it like you. We are each uniquely designed to run our own race.

When we truly understand and embrace this, we won’t be tempted to compare or wish we had what someone else has. You won’t think, “If only I had their talent...” No, if God wanted you to have that talent, He would have given it to you. Instead, take what you have and develop it. Make the most of it. Don’t think, “If only I had her looks...” No, God gave you your looks. That’s not an accident. The life you have has been perfectly matched for you.

Now, you’ve got to do your part and get excited about your life. Be excited about who you are — your looks, your talent, your ability, your personality. When you’re passionate about who you are, it brings honor to God. That’s when God will breathe in your direction and the seeds of greatness in you will take root and begin to flourish!

Father, I thank You for giving me the gifts, talents and abilities to enjoy life and accomplish Your will. Today I choose to put my trust and hope in You knowing that You have equipped me for the destiny You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
-2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Challenges are part of life, never look at the situation you find yourself as a ‘problem’, it’s only a challenge and guess what, it is temporary. From time to time in our journey of life, we will face challenges, some of which will cause heart aches and broken hearts, infact some have allowed their challenges to stall their journey in life. It’s wisdom to acknowledge that there is a challenging situation, however we must not allow the situation to hold us bound, we should acknowledge it and fix our gaze on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is our ultimate mentor, He walked on this earth and went through every kind of challenging situation, yet He was victorious.
We also need to come to the understanding that whatever we are going through is temporary and will soon pass no situation lasts forever, Jesus told us in John 16:33 that we will face challenges in this world, but we should be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. We need to take control of the situation and not allow the situation to take control of our lives. You need to be determined that whatever cross you are carrying will not deter you from following God, as that cross is just there to flex your muscles and that phase of your life will soon be over. There is always a point in the pain, learn to understand the point, so you can grow.

Also don’t accept the lie of the devil that the challenging situation is peculiar to you, 1 Cor 10:13 from the NLT says “the temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure”
We need to understand that we are on a journey, on assignment from heaven and it's got to be all about Him , the enemy does try use our 'going through' period to distract us from our 'going to', which should be our main focus, we need to keep our eyes on the author and finisher of our faith. Note that the affliction is light and temporary, BUT the glory is weighty and permanent.

I make God my focus, as I look to the Lord, I will not be ashamed, His word is my light and my salvation, therefore I declare that I am invincible, I cannot be defeated, greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Halleluyah!

Have a lovely and blessed week ahead

Then Samson prayed to the LORD, "Sovereign LORD, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time..."
-Judges 16:28 (NLT)

At times, it seems we have blown up every opportunity we have, we could have messed up on several occasions and the enemy is telling us that it is all over. Listen, it is not over until it is over, there is one more coming up. Samson was anointed by God and was mighty in God's hands, however, he was brought down by sin, the enemy found a loop hole in his life through which he penetrated and caused him to loose what God deposited in him. Nevertheless, Samson was able to bounce back. Our verse for today talks about his prayer to God for restoration, he acknowledged God as his Lord and King, and sought His face, our God is a merciful God, {2 Chronicles 30:9}, if we return to him and ask for His mercy He is able to forgive us and restore us. Note that Samson killed more Philistines when he died than when he lived, in fact it was Samson's choice to die, God did for him exactly what he asked, I believe if he only asked for God to restore him and not for him to die with the philistines he would have had it. He had a greater accomplishment after he remembered God and came back to Him. Like the father of the prodigal son, God will be waiting for us to come back to Him; He has a destiny and purpose for our lives. if you have missed it once and feel you can't get back up again, that is a lie of the enemy, you can bounce back, don't let the devil hold you back with guilt and condemnation, as long as you repent and turn to God, He can lift you up again. A song writer said 'we fall down, but we rise up, for a saint is just a sinner who fell down, but got up', the tragedy will be for you to fall and remain down, get up and bounce back.
Have a brilliant week ahead and happy new month.

My past is not my future, I may have made mistakes in my past but I will not be stuck because of my past mistakes, Thank you Jesus for your blood that has erased my past and released me to a new season of your grace, mercy and favour .Halleluyah!
